Pop-Tarts Apple Turnover - 13.5oz

Ever since I had a proper apple turnover at a bakery, I've been chasing that flaky, buttery crust—these actually come pretty close. The filling is sweet and the pastry holds up whether I toast it or eat it straight from the pack.

The crust actually stays flaky even after I toast it, and the apple filling is sweet without being cloying. Grabbed a box for a road trip and they vanished before we hit the halfway point.

The apple filling is nicely gooey and sweet, though I wish there were a bit more of it in each pastry. Still, the flaky crust makes these a solid quick breakfast when I'm rushing out the door.
